1. Information We Collect

When you use QuickRecipes, we may collect photos you upload, account information, and anonymized usage data.

Photos you submit are processed using artificial intelligence to identify ingredients and generate recipe suggestions. Uploaded images are transmitted to and processed by OpenAI, our third-party AI service provider, for this purpose. QuickRecipes does not retain uploaded images after processing is complete.

Please review images before uploading them. Do not upload images containing personal, confidential, or sensitive information, including faces, government-issued identification, addresses, phone numbers, payment card information, financial or medical information, account credentials, or other private details. Crop, blur, or otherwise remove such information before uploading.

If an uploaded image contains personal or sensitive information, that information may also be transmitted to and processed by OpenAI as part of the image. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload the image and any information appearing in it. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, QuickRecipes is not responsible for consequences arising solely from your inclusion of personal, confidential, or sensitive information in an uploaded image. This does not limit any responsibility or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including responsibility arising from QuickRecipes’ own data-handling or security practices.

If you create an account, we collect your email address and any profile information you provide.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve QuickRecipes, generate recipe suggestions, send updates you opt into, analyze usage trends, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with service providers such as hosting and analytics partners solely to operate and improve QuickRecipes.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you.

6. Children's Privacy

QuickRecipes is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of QuickRecipes after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

8. AI Processing & Limitations

QuickRecipes uses AI-powered image analysis to identify ingredients in uploaded photos and generate recipe suggestions.

AI technology is not perfect and may occasionally produce inaccurate ingredient identifications or recipe suggestions. Review all suggestions before preparing any dish, especially if you have allergies or dietary restrictions.

9. Signing in with Google

If you choose to sign in with Google, QuickRecipes receives your email address, name, profile picture, and Google account identifier. We request only basic sign-in and profile information. We do not access your Gmail, contacts, calendar, Google Drive, or other Google account content.

We use your email address and account identifier to create your QuickRecipes account and sign you in. Supabase, our authentication provider, stores your Google name and profile picture with your account. These are not displayed in the app or used for other purposes; QuickRecipes uses a username and mascot avatar instead.

Google account information is processed by Supabase to provide authentication and account storage. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. We do not send Google profile information to our recipe-generation AI provider.

We retain Google account information in Supabase for as long as your QuickRecipes account exists, subject to the limited retention exceptions described below. You can delete your account in Settings > Delete Account or request deletion through our website. You can also revoke QuickRecipes' access in your Google Account permissions. Revoking access does not itself delete information already stored in QuickRecipes.

QuickRecipes' use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

10. Signing in with Apple

If you choose Sign in with Apple, we receive an Apple account identifier, your email address, and your name when Apple provides it. If you choose Hide My Email, we receive Apple's private relay email address instead of your personal email address. Supabase stores this information to create and authenticate your account. Your Apple name is not displayed as your QuickRecipes username.

11. Subscriptions and Purchases

Apple's App Store or Google Play processes in-app payments. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases, manage subscription status, restore purchases, and provide paid features. RevenueCat processes your QuickRecipes account identifier and purchase information, such as transaction records and subscription entitlements. QuickRecipes does not receive your full payment card details.

Deleting your QuickRecipes account does not cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel subscriptions through the store where you purchased them. Apple, Google, and RevenueCat may retain transaction records under their own policies and applicable legal requirements.

12. Dietary Preferences and Allergies

You may choose to provide dietary preferences, allergies, and nutrition or macro preferences. Allergy information can reveal health information. We store these preferences with your account in Supabase and use them to personalize recipe suggestions. When you request personalized recipes, relevant dietary preferences and allergies are sent to OpenAI as part of the recipe request.

You can edit or remove these preferences in Settings. Recipe suggestions are not medical advice and cannot guarantee that a meal is free of allergens. Always check ingredients and food safety independently.

13. Account and Data Deletion

You can delete your QuickRecipes account in the app under Settings > Delete Account, or submit your QuickRecipes username through our account-deletion page. Website requests require verification of account ownership and are normally completed within 30 days after verification.

Account deletion removes your authentication account, including information received from Google or Apple, and associated account data such as profile details, saved recipes, and preferences. We may retain limited records when required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance, only for as long as needed for those purposes. Purchase records held by payment and subscription providers are subject to their own retention policies.
